To Get a Dog or Not Get a Dog
That is the Question
Since I was five years old, maybe even younger I've always wanted a dog. When I was in kindergarten I begged my parents for a dog; eventually they got me one so I would stop bugging all of our neighbors to play with their dogs. Once my parents got me a dog, I didn't play with him and continued to play with my neighbor's dogs, so my parents gave my dog away to an orphanage.
Believe it or not I tell everyone that if I ever have children it won't be until after I own a dog and a horse.

Ever since that day my parents gave the dog away, I've continued to beg them for another one. They always told me that once I get my own place when I'm older I would be able to have one... Well, I'm older and have my own place now, but my HUSBAND now says no to a dog because of our cat.... He's afraid that it will change her or she will hate it.
Also, we are gone 6-8 hours everyday. Ideally, our lives are too busy right now to own a dog. I honestly think the cat would like to have a friend, so when the time is right I will go to the animal shelter and adopt a dog and my husband will get over it... Hopefully the cat will too.
